Katy Perry is planning to become a British citizen after she marries funnyman Russell Brand.

The I Kissed A Girl hit-maker is set to wed the funnyman later this year and, to make life easier as she jets between her native America and the U.K., the singer is eyeing dual-citizenship.

She says, "I love London and just being here. I've decided that when the day does come, I will become a dual citizen. Then I can just pass through customs real quick."

And the singer expects to cut through the red tape really easily - because she's so well known already in Britain.

She tells chat show host Alan Carr, "You've already kind of adopted me, so maybe I don't have to go through all the paperwork?"
