Adam Lambert gave praise and tribute to late singer Freddie Mercury in an interview with NPR's Morning Edition. In the interview, Lambert suggests that male music acts of today are lacking in showmanship. "There's definitely something missing in today's music, in the scene," Lambert says in the article. "We don't have a lot of men onstage doing flamboyant or theatrical. We have a lot of female pop stars doing it, but where are the guys, you know — where's that classic rock — or pop — showman?"

Lambert also went on to say more good things about Mercury and his abilities as a rocker. "Freddie's voice has so much texture to it. It’s supersexy. He kind of grabs at everything, he squeezes it. He was completely over the top in the best possible way. Music, most of the time, is about sexuality. Whether you are straight, gay or in between. It's about love and sex. That's rock 'n' roll."

What are your thoughts, does music today need more flamboyant males and theatrics?
