Rihanna is laughing through the pain after burning her face with a curling iron - blaming the painful singe on her large forehead.

The Umbrella hit-maker was styling her new bright red hairdo when she accidentally caught herself with the hot tong.

However, the singer laughed off the singe, posting a picture of the burn mark on her Twitter.com page in the early hours of Sunday morning. She wrote, "New hair .new curling iron BURN damn 5head always in the way."

The candid post is among the first Rihanna has made since taking over her Twitter page from record bosses on Friday.

She explained: "So now that i finally took over my Twitter page no more corny label tweets......lol! whaaasssuupppp ppl!!!!!"
