Expectant dad Neil Patrick Harris is buried in books preparing for fatherhood with his partner David Burtka.

The actor recently revealed the couple will become parents to twins via surrogate in the autumn.  And he admits he's frantically studying everything he can about parenting.

Harris says, "I'm trying to read as much as I can, and prep as much as I can. But there's only so much you can do because each baby is super individual and totally their own person."

Speaking at the Emmys on Sunday night before scooping an award for his guest role in Glee, the star added, "(I'm) very, very excited, It's the big, crazy calm before the ridiculous storm."
