Dolly Parton To Make Big-Screen Return Opposite Queen Latifah
Queen of country Dolly Parton is teaming up with Queen Latifah on the big screen - the pair will try to save a gospel choir from closure in new musical "Joyful Noise."
The 64-year-old singer will make her movie comeback starring as a widow who takes over her late husband's job as the director of the small-town Pacashau Gospel Choir.
And Latifah will come to her aid, playing a mom-of-two who is put in charge of the vocal group, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Parton has not starred in a feature film since 1992's "Straight Talk."
