Jennifer Aniston has fired back at outspoken political pundit Bill O'Reilly after he branded her "destructive to our society" (click to watch video) for praising artificial insemination.
The "Friends" star has spoken openly of her support for women who choose to use sperm donors to have children while promoting her new movie "The Switch," in which her character decides to become a single mom.
Her remarks infuriated newsman O'Reilly, who took aim at the actress on his show "The O'Reilly Factor" last week by accusing her of "diminishing the role of the dad."
He ranted: "Dads bring a psychology to children that is in this society, I believe, under-emphasised. I think men get hosed all day long in the parental arena."
But Aniston has responded to his criticism with her own barbed comment.
She tells People.com, "Of course, the ideal scenario for parenting is obviously two parents of a mature age. Parenting is one of the hardest jobs on earth.
"And, of course, many women dream of finding Prince Charming (with fatherly instincts), but for those who've not yet found their Bill O'Reilly, I'm just glad science has provided a few other options."
