Celebrities love to shop, and Jennifer Love Hewitt is no exception. We caught her returning to her New York City hotel after a day of shopping on Thursday. She wore a multi-colored sequin dress and had bright yellow fingernails.

Hewitt is staring in the upcoming made-for-TV movie "The Client List" in which she plays a physical therapist turned prostitute.

She told DigitalSpy.com, "It's usually the male of the household who sort of has to go out and do anything possible to take care of his family and I loved that in this, it was about female empowerment and I loved her struggle, how she falls from grace. I just loved it."

The film airs Monday, July 19, on Lifetime.

Later, Hewitt went tio Lucky Cheng's Drag Cabaret restaurant in New York. No word about the mysterious roses.
