Rapper Too Short Charged With Battery
Rapper Too Short has been arrested and charged with battery after allegedly fighting with security staff following a concert in Boise, Idaho on Thursday.
The rapper, real name Todd Shaw, was briefly jailed in Ada County with one of his associates early on Thursday following his performance at the local Knitting Factory concert club.
Police were called to the scene just after 11pm local time on Wednesday to investigate a fight, reports Idahostatesman.com.
According to police reports, three employees claimed they had been punched, kicked and pushed by Shaw and associate Michael T. Walton.
Witnesses told police the fight began after security employees told Shaw he could not take underage girls backstage.
None of the three security employees were seriously injured.
Shaw, 44, is charged with three counts of misdemeanour battery, while Walton, 38, is charged with two counts of misdemeanour battery.
Both men were released after posting bond. They are scheduled to appear in court on August 4 to face the charges.
