Private Practice star Kate Walsh is officially single - a Los Angeles judge dissolved her marriage to Alex Young on Tuesday.

The actress became embroiled in a bitter legal battle after splitting from her film executive husband in 2008, after only 14 months as a married couple.

In the divorce settlement, Walsh agreed to hand over half her TV earnings for shows filmed while they were man and wife, as well as $627,000 for Young's share of their properties after he demanded to know the true value of her contract with ABC network.
 
However, Walsh can now put her failed marriage behind her after a judge ruled on Tuesday the couple's union is officially over.

The pair has no children.
