Former "Buffy The Vampire Slayer" star Nicholas Brendon was arrested in Venice, California on Tuesday night after allegedly becoming embroiled in a drunken scuffle with police.

Cops were called to the area to investigate reports of a drunken man causing a commotion, and when officers arrived at the scene, Brendon allegedly refused to co-operate and ran away.

He was detained following a chase and reportedly Tasered by officers as he attempted to escape, according to TMZ.com.

The actor was hospitalized and later booked for felony vandalism after allegedly damaging property during the incident.
