DiddySean 'Diddy' Combs has assured fans he did not make any money from a party in memory of his late pal Notorious B.I.G. on Tuesday - after complaints about the sky-high entrance fee.

The rap mogul was one of the featured performers at the event, held in Brooklyn, New York on the 13th anniversary of his friend's tragic death. But when the doors opened, fans were furious at being charged an entrance fee of between $100 and $150, when advance tickets cost just $30.

Combs was bombarded with complaints on his Twitter.com page as more people arrived at the venue, with several fans accusing him of profiting from the party.

However, the rapper responded straight away, taking to his online blog while he was en-route to the concert to appease gig-goers - promising to speak to the organizers on his arrival in a bid to reduce the entrance charge.

He 'tweeted', "I am not promoting the party. I'm not making money from this... As soon as I get there I will tell them to stop trying to overcharge people. Sorry to all who were inconvenienced. I will fix."

Notorious B.I.G. was gunned down in a drive-by shooting by an unknown assassin in Los Angeles on March 9th 1997.
