Ryan Seacrest's Alleged Stalker Pleads No Contest
The man accused of harassing American Idol host Ryan Seacrest pleaded no contest to felony stalking at a court hearing on Tuesday.
Chidi Uzomah, a special forces reserve for the U.S. Army, was charged in November with a felony count of stalking and two misdemeanor counts of violating a court order after he was found wielding a knife at Seacrest's Los Angeles office.
The 25 year old pleaded not guilty to the charges at a hearing in L.A. on November 3rd, but was arraigned again last month after the case was moved to a different court.
He was due back in court on March 9th for a pre-trial hearing, where he entered the no contest plea, reports TMZ.com.
Seacrest has been awarded a protective order against Uzomah, which bans him from going within 500 yards of the TV presenter.
According to TMZ, Uzomah could serve up to two years behind bars if convicted.
