MetallicaMetallica fans in Israel have vowed to boycott the band's upcoming show in Tel Aviv amid complaints of soaring ticket prices. The Enter Sandman hit-makers are scheduled to play at Ramat Gan stadium on May 22nd- the band's first concert in Israel since 1999.

The show's promoter, Marcel Avram, has announced tickets will sell for at least $159, and the news has prompted an outcry from fans.

More than 500 followers on Facebook.com have "committed" to boycotting the concert - arguing tickets should be half of the selling price.

Editors at Metal Israel report: "The initiators of the boycott state that Metallica tickets do not cost nearly as much as this in the rest of the world and assert that the promoter is trying to take advantage of loyal Metallica fans."
