Kimberly Wyatt Leaves The Pussycat Dolls

March 1st, 2010 8:33am EST

Pussycat DollsKimberly Wyatt has quit the Pussycat Dolls after months of speculation of feuding with frontwoman Nicole Scherzinger.

The group announced they were taking a break from performing together last year, and Wyatt subsequently went public with her anger at Scherzinger's preferential treatment within the band.

She said, "She (Scherzinger) was one of the last to join. But we'd have to share a dressing room while Nicole would have her own. We'd be on the tour bus together but she wouldn't come on and would get her own transport."

The band's founder Robin Antin dismissed reports the girl group had split in November, following Jessica Sutta's departure, saying, "The Pussycat Dolls are very much ALIVE and there is NO truth to the silent treatment statements."

But now Wyatt has stunned fans by revealing she won't be returning to the line-up when they end their hiatus.

She tells Loaded magazine, "I've left the group. I am so thankful for everything the Pussycat Dolls (have) brought into my life. But I have to say there were just too many variables that I couldn't agree with and I had to follow my heart. So I decided to kind of push on with my own life.

"Money and fame can't buy happiness. Ultimately I think that happiness is the most important thing in life and I think that once I started to get to know myself more and more I was like, 'You know, I don't think that happiness is within this group right now'.

"I wish that it was different because I love what we do on stage. I love being a Doll, but as far as the variables off-stage are concerned - I just couldn't do it anymore."
