Wyclef Jean Wants A Fugees Reunion For Haiti
The Killing Me Softly stars - Jean, Pras and Lauryn Hill - parted ways in 1997 before getting back together in 2004 for a short-lived reunion. Tensions in the group led to the trio splitting for good in 2007, but Pras revealed last month he would team up with his old pals to benefit the victims of the devastating tremors that rocked his native country on January 12th.
Pras admitted he was considering a special one-off concert, adding, "That's the only reason I would think about doing anything on that level." Fellow Haitian Jean has given Pras' idea the thumbs up - insisting the Fugees should head back into the studio to create a charity single.
He says, "Everyone is doing different relief and when the time is right, the vibe is right, the Fugees should definitely contribute a single to go into Yele Haiti (Jean's charity). I think it would raise a lot of money."
The only member yet to comment on the proposals is reclusive Hill, who played her first public show in almost three years last month when she made a surprise appearance at New Zealand's Ragamuffin festival.
