Christina Hendricks' Husband Jumps To Her Defense Over Distorted Picture
Busty redhead Hendricks showed off her curves in a champagne-colored ruffled gown on the red carpet of the awards ceremony earlier this month.
However, New York Times blogger Cathy Horyn didn't appreciate the lavish design, writing, "You don't put a big girl in a big dress. That's rule number one."
Hendricks' husband, actor Geoffrey Arend, was left fuming by the comments - and only calmed down after seeing messages of support for his wife posted by readers of the blog.
He tells People.com, "I was just upset about the whole Golden Globes dress thing. I thought she looked so gorgeous. And that New York Times blogger saying that. It's so ridiculous.
"What was nice was seeing the entire internet come after that blogger. That was really cool. It was the first time I saw just a solid block of "You're crazy! What's wrong with you? You should be ashamed of yourself! And honestly, the Grey Lady [New York Times' nickname] should be ashamed of themselves to print a picture like that, that they widened!"
Horyn later apologised after admitting a technical mistake had led to the snap being "slightly distorted inadvertently."
