Ludacris made sure his new brandy was perfect by visiting the experts in Cognac, France and hand-blending the beverage himself.

The rapper/actor flew to France to meet the family behind his new Conjure cognac and agreed to be part of the selection process.

He says, "Their family has been in business since 1887. We blended this thing...there's about 13 different cognacs I had to choose from."

And Ludacris, real name Chris Bridges, admits he picked the finest blends: "You're getting a better quality product for a great price, especially in times like this... The product speaks for itself."

And the rap star is very particular how he drinks his cognac: "We get straight to it; we're straight no chaser...I might put a little lime in there but I like mine just on the rocks. You've gotta taste the essence of what's going on."
