R&B singer/actor Tyrese Gibson is contesting a traffic citation which accuses him of leaving the scene of a car crash earlier this month. Gibson was involved in a accident with Sheena McCreary in Miami, Florida, and both parties gave their information to the police before leaving in a taxi together.

However on Monday, both Gibson and McCreary were issued felony citations for "leaving the scene on public or private property," according to TMZ.com.

Gibson's lawyers, Jayne Weintraub and Jon Sale, are fighting the charge, insisting the star followed protocol by filing a report with cops.

The attorneys filed papers on Thursday entering a not guilty plea on their client's behalf.
