Shakira's 'She Wolf' Tangled In Photo Lawsuit
Art director Lee Swillingham signed a $63,000 contract with the company last spring for his services and was paid half the sum up front, reports the New York Post. According to court documents, he earned $5,000 a day for extra work, totaling an additional $36,000.
The contract included a clause stating Sony owes nothing if the record label isn't pleased with the final project. Swillingham's lawyer, Sam Israel, has accused the company of falsely claiming it didn't find the work satisfactory while using the images Swillingham created for the album.
A Sony spokesperson had not responded to requests for a comment as WENN went to press.
