Miley Cyrus Backs Suicide Prevention CampaignMiley Cyrus has thrown her support behind a suicide prevention group in a bid to land them a $1 million grant. The Hannah Montana star has filmed a video appealing to her fans to vote for the To Write Love On Her Arms organization, which offers online support to people considering taking their lives, to win the Chase Community Giving program.

The winner of the vote lands a $1 million prize - and Cyrus is determined the group takes the cash.

She says, "I don't think people really realize what a problem (suicide) is and how many people really struggle with depression and end up taking their lives for it, especially so many young people out there so I think it's really important we all get involved."

"The money will go towards the launch of a live online crisis network which will be really amazing for all these people that just need a family and community. I think it's an amazing cause and I really want everyone to go out there and get involved."
