Bette Midler Stages Haiti BenefitBette Midler raised more than $35,000 during a single Las Vegas concert on Saturday to benefit earthquake-devastated Haiti. The singer was on-stage performing her The Showgirl Must Go On gig at Sin City's Caesars Palace when she began collecting donations from the audience to send to the Doctors Without Borders charity.

She promised to match whatever her fans pledged and encouraged them to give generously before launching into her hit Wind Beneath My Wings.

Fans handed over more than $19,000 - and Midler kept her word, taking the total collections pot to $38,742.

She's since vowed to match donations at every performance until her final show on the January 31st, when her two-year Las Vegas stint ends, according to VegasDeluxe.com.
