Romeo Dropped From the USC Basketball TeamRapper Romeo has been dropped from his university basketball team after just one season on the court. The hip-hop star, real name Percy Romeo Miller, Jr., won a full scholarship from the University of Southern California (USC) in 2007 and served as point guard in the 2008-2009 season.

But Romeo has lost his position on the team due to a previous incident, which he refuses to go into detail about. He tells AllHipHop.com, "I'm sad that my basketball season at USC will end early due to a violation from an incident that happened two years ago, which is not fair."

However, the 20-year-old son of rap mogul Master P is not letting the issue hinder his plans for 2010 - instead, Romeo is focusing his efforts on building his music career with a new album, Box Office Hits, scheduled for an August release, and the launch of his label Next Generation Records.

He is also set to further his acting career with a handful of new projects, although he is keeping tight-lipped about what those films entail.

He says, "I'm happy about the new opportunity I recently received to play in this big blockbuster movie. I can't talk about it but I can tell you that I won't be a vampire."
