Taylor Lautner and Taylor Swift have been named the hottest new on-screen couple - despite rumors their short-lived romance came to an end last month.

The country singer/actress, 20, grew close to the Twilight hunk on the set of new movie Valentine's Day, and regular sightings of the pair together fuelled speculation of a real-life love story. Tabloids reported in December that the relationship had come to an end - but the news has failed to curb fans' enthusiasm for the pairing.

A poll by movie ticket seller Fandango.com has placed the Taylors top of a list of most eagerly anticipated on-screen couples, for their appearance in the new romantic comedy.

The pair outranked other big screen pairings including Jennifer Aniston and Gerard Butler, who will appear in The Bounty, and Jennifer Lopez and Alex O'Loughlin, who are set to sizzle on the big screen in The Back-Up Plan.

The fan survey also rated comic book blockbuster Iron Man 2 as the most anticipated release of 2010, followed by two more sequels, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.
