Michael Cera"Youth In Revolt" star Michael Cera spent his Christmas holidays in silence, studying meditation at a retreat in his native Canada. The actor returned home to visit his family in Toronto last month and decided to check himself into a relaxation center, where guests are urged to keep their lips sealed for the duration of their stay - to better understand the meditation process.

And Cera surprised himself by managing not to speak to anyone for the full 10 days - even though one fellow guest tried to engage him in conversation.

He says, "It's really interesting. It's not as difficult as I thought it would be, not talking for 10 days.

"I would catch myself mumbling to myself. Somebody talked to me on the third day... He had to leave, he couldn't handle it."

However, Cera has yet to put the experience of meditation into practice since his return to the U.S.

He confesses, "The whole point (of the course) is that you meditate two hours a day at the end of your day... I haven't done it once. I don't have time for that!"
