Tila Tequila has backtracked on her recent announcement that she's pregnant with her brother's baby, insisting she plans to become a surrogate mother for her sibling very soon.

The reality TV star stunned fans by recently revealing her engagement to billionaire heiress Casey Johnson and followed it up with the news she's expecting on behalf of her brother and his wife.

On her Twitter.com page, she wrote, "BIG ANNOUNCEMENT: I am going to become a SURROGATE MOTHER for my brother & his Wife!!! That is my xmas present to them. I'm pregnant!"

But Tequila has now admitted the strange announcement wasn't entirely accurate because she's not pregnant yet.

She tells Life & Style magazine, "I'm about to be (pregnant). When I tweeted that, I figured there's not enough space in the 140 characters. (I meant) I'm going to give him a Christmas present that's going to change his life."

And the star reveals she's looking forward to the pregnancy, even though she's giving the child up for her sibling.

She adds, "I don't have time to take care of a real baby of my own - not yet however - I feel I am very ready to experience the whole pregnancy process but without having to actually have the baby as mine, my own to take care of."
