Kool & The Gang Make History With Cuban Concert
The group broke down cultural boundaries at the weekend to stage an outdoor concert in the communist country.
U.S. relations with Cuba have been strained for decades, but frontman Robert 'Kool' Bell insists the singers' visit had nothing to do with politics - they were there to share their love of music with their fans.
He says, "We are all about the music. We travel the world and our message is love, understanding and unity. We don't come as politicians, we come as musicians."
Rockers Audioslave were the last U.S. stars to perform in Cuba in 2005 before they split in 2007.
