Beyonce's mother Tina has filed for divorce from the superstar's manager father Mathew Knowles.

Stylist Tina Knowles began legal proceedings to put an end to her 29-year marriage in Harris County, Texas last month, according to TMZ.com.

The reason behind the split has yet to be revealed, but the news comes just weeks after Mathew was targeted in a paternity lawsuit from Los Angeles resident Alexsandra Wright.

Pregnant Wright, who works in the name-branding business, claims Beyonce's dad is the father of her unborn child, which is due in spring 2010.

The Knowles wed in 1980 and have two children: the Crazy In Love hit-maker and her younger sister Solange.
