Garth Brooks Sues Hospital Over A $500,000 Donation
The singer handed over the big check to Integris Canadian Valley Regional in Yukon in 2005 on the condition that the cash was used to fund the building of a new hospital wing, dedicated to his mom Colleen, who died from cancer in 1999.
The medical center underwent an extensive renovation, but the building Brooks donated the cash for never materialized, reports TMZ.com.
Brooks is taking legal action against hospital chiefs for breach of contract, but Integris bosses insist the mishap was a big misunderstanding and are confident the dispute will reach a "swift and amicable end."
