Lindsay Lohan has been set a deadline of July, 2010 to complete her alcohol education course as part of her probation for a driving under the influence (DUI) charge.

The Mean Girls star landed herself in trouble in October after failing to complete the classes, which she was ordered to undertake as part of her sentence for DUI and drug possession in August 2007.

She was placed on three years' probation as part of her sentence, but was accused of violating the terms of the agreement by only attending 15 of the 26 alcohol education classes and 13 of the 28 self-help sessions she needed to complete.

Her probation was extended by a year in October but at a hearing in a Los Angeles court on Tuesday, a judge ruled she must finish the course by July 15th.

Lohan was not present for the hearing and was represented in court by her lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holly.
