Hindus Urge Lindsay Lohan To Swim In The Ganges To Cleanse Herself
As the actress struggles to get her career back on track after a series of film flops, battles with her father and reported prescription drug problems, religious scholars advise her to plunge into the holy river while she's in India shooting a new human trafficking documentary and wash away her sins.
Acclaimed Hindu statesman Rajan Zed says, "Lindsay Lohan should make use of her trip to India to rediscover herself by spending some time in an ashram and taking a dip in the holy Ganges. It is believed that bathing in the sacred Ganges purifies one of all sin, and its water, if taken daily, confers immortality."
Zed, who is president of Universal Society of Hinduism, points out that an ashram stay would help bring Lohan "tranquility, spirituality and serenity".
