Reality star Shayne Lamas has been fined $300 in relation to her arrest last month on suspicion of driving under the influence (DUI). The daughter of ageing TV hunk Lorenzo Lamas found herself in trouble with police in Venice, California on November 14th after sipping a dinnertime vodka.

The 24 year old, who previously won America's reality dating show The Bachelor, branded the arrest the "most embarrassing experience" of her life and promised she would never get behind the wheel after drinking alcohol again.

However, Lamas escaped a DUI conviction and pleaded no contest to the lesser charge of wet reckless - reckless driving that is alcohol related - when she appeared in a California court on Monday.

She was fined, sentenced to three years' probation, and ordered to attend an alcohol education program. Lamas must also complete community service at a morgue to learn how serious the consequences of a DUI can be, reports TMZ.com.
