National Lampoon's Christmas VacationArguably, one of the most enjoyable past times of the holiday season is watching holiday films. There are only a handful of films that truly capture the reality of middle-class holiday experiences. Watching the Griswolds grimace and cringe their way through Christmas is now marked as a 20 year old tradition. To commemorate this landmark, a 20th Anniversary Collector's Edition has been released. While many who love this film as much as we do already have copies, be it on DVD, VHS, or even taped off television, this edition is hard to pass by.

Reasons you need to own/re-buy/gift it:

1. It comes with Clark's Santa hat.
2. It comes with a box of fake snow
3. You get drink coasters emblazoned with quotes from the film
4. To mark your accomplishment, you also receive an "I Survived a Griswold Family Christmas" pin.
5. BluRay buyers also get a Moose figurine. This is the one item that could have been upgraded. We all would like a version of the Griswolds' moose mugs... admit it, you want one!

Oversights:

1. The commentary is chock full of actors, except for Chevy Chase-the only actor we really wanted nostalgic commentary from.
2. Do we really need fake snow? Instead of wasting money on fake snow and a pin, they should have included a mini version of the Santa sleigh that Clark famously kicks. At least you can put that up on the mantle with all of the other kitschy holiday knickknacks.
3. There are not enough visual extras to make this an 'Ultimate Collector's Edition'.
