Rapper 50 Cent has made peace with ex-girlfriend Vivica A. Fox after their bitter break-up by casting her as his leading lady in a new music video.

The couple's 2003 split was far from amicable, prompting the Kill Bill Volume 1 actress to appear on TV to blast the hip-hop star on The Tyra Banks Show after he accused her of using their relationship to boost her profile.

However, 50 Cent has returned to the supermodel's talk show to announce he's friends with Fox again - after she agreed to star as his love interest in a promo clip for his track Do You Think About Me.

He says, "She was really upset with me (after the break-up)... I called her. I said, 'You got to stop fighting and be in my video.' The song's about when relationships don't work, and when I explained it to her it kind of intensified what the song was about. And it's now being a visual with the public sees us as that relationship that didn't work."

50 Cent, whose appearance will air on TV on Tuesday, also confirmed he and Fox were together for "about a year," although reports speculated they'd only dated for a month.
