Model/actress Shauna Sand has confessed to romancing Gossip Girl hunk Chace Crawford when he was a teenager. The actor was an 18-year-old schoolboy when he first met mother-of-three Sand, who is 14 years his senior, at a party in Malibu, California in 2003. The pair exchanged numbers and soon embarked on a sexual relationship, reports Star magazine.

Sand, who separated from her actor husband Lorenzo Lamas in October 2002, admits she wasn't sure about dating someone so young and even had to check his ID to make sure he was of age.

The busty blonde tells the publication, "Chace came up to me out of nowhere. He was incredibly beautiful - I immediately fell in love with him! We immediately started dating and I even gave him a key to my apartment. The first night he came to my place, I actually grabbed his wallet out of his jeans on the floor and checked his ID to make sure he really was 18! And he looked even younger than that."

Sand claims Crawford was shy when it came to sex: "He tried, but you could tell he didn't have a lot of experience in bed. He was so incredibly nervous; he was practically trembling! I tried to teach him a thing or two - and I think I did."

The couple reportedly dated on and off until 2006, and enjoyed a brief reunion in July 2007 before Gossip Girl made its TV premiere and Crawford became an overnight sensation. Sand has since lost touch with Crawford, who now lives in New York, but she insists she is happy for her former toy-boy.

She adds, "I haven't really seen or spoken to him much since then. But I'm thrilled with the success he's found... He will always be in my heart."

Crawford, now 24, was romantically linked to Twilight actress Ashley Greene earlier this year.
