Leighton Meester showed up at the American Eagle Outfitters Times Square flagship store grand opening party in New York City yesterday looking smoking hot in a mini black leather dress with bold make-up. Leighton is sick of seeing stories about her troubled family life splashed across the front pages because her childhood was stable and happy. The actress is adamant tabloids got her story wrong by insisting she was brought into the world behind bars - accusing the media of twisting the facts.

She says she was born in a hospital "and, no (my parents) didn't live a life of crime while I was a kid. We had big Thanksgiving dinners, with all of us at the table. I mean, how normal can you get?"
