Father Of Michael Jackson's Molestation Accuser Committed Suicide The father of Michael Jackson's alleged abuse victim Jordan Chandler committed suicide by shooting himself in the head, officials have ruled. Former dentist Evan Chandler, 65, was found dead in bed at his apartment in New Jersey earlier this month after his doctor alerted a concierge that he had missed an appointment.

Officials have now confirmed details of the death, revealing Chandler had a revolver in his hand and a gunshot wound to the head. It's believed he was suffering a serious illness as five different prescription drugs were found at the home.

Jersey City Police Department spokesman Stan Eason tells RadarOnline.com: "We have ruled it as suicide because he was found with a gun held to his body and had a single bullet wound to the side of his head. There was no note found in the apartment but officers did find medication in keeping with a serious medical condition. Mr. Chandler's body has now been returned to his family."

Chandler became estranged from his entire family after he accused Jackson in 1993 of molesting his son Jordan.

A 13-month police investigation cleared Jackson of any wrongdoing, and the star later paid the teenager $22 million for "personal injuries arising out of claims of negligence" in return for dropping a civil suit against him.

Jordan Chandler, now 29, has never spoken publicly about the case.
