In the last night's episode of 90210, Silver's mom Jackie succumbed to side effects of her cancer. Silver tried again to get Kelly to come and talk to their mom, and Kelly refused. Kelly arrived to an empty room and thought she was too late, only to find out that her mom had been moved. Kelly was suddenly dealing with the guilt of letting her mother die without saying goodbye and letting her younger sister take care of their mom alone in her last days. But letting someone die without a chance to make amends would make this a different television show. Silver came back to the old room to tell Kelly their mom had been moved to a new one. Kelly and Jackie talked with Jackie telling Kelly how wonderful she turned out before dying between both of her daughters.

In spite of Silver's mom dying, the episode still managed to mostly revolve around Naomi. She got caught making out with Jamie by not just the dean's son Richard but the dean as well. Naomi was forced to reveal her stupid plot to get into CU and it seemed like neither of the roommates would forgive her. Naomi tried again to apologize to Richard, and Jamie wanted her back after hearing about it. After a random box-carrying opportunity led to Liam getting hurt in front of Naomi and apologizing again, Naomi realized she still had feelings for him. She admitted to Jamie that she wasn't over her ex.

Annie and Jasper had dinner with her parents, but the dinner took place after Dixon told them Navid had said he was a drug dealer. The awkward meal eventually ended and Annie's parents admitted to trusting Navid's beliefs over Annie's. Annie told Jasper that her parents didn't want them to be together because of what Navid had said, and a scarily calm Jasper told Annie not to worry about it.

Adrianna kept using prescription pills even after Naomi and Navid confronted her about it. Adrianna managed to lie to Naomi about it at first, only to have Naomi eventually dig through her purse. The girls seemed to be headed for another round of not speaking like they did in the first season. Navid tried talking to Adrianna again, but she lied about not caring enough about him to use drugs to get over their breakup. As if Navid getting his feelings stomped on wasn't enough, Jasper pushed Navid down the stairs.


After multiple dates with Jen calling the shots, she and Ryan went on a camping trip that started with a fight and ended with her confessing about her marriage and financial status. It was nice to hear her make Ryan promise not to cheat on her like her husband did. But after the meanness she's inflicted on her own sister's heart, does anyone really care about Jen's feelings? In the preview for the next episode, it looks like Jen finally gets held accountable for sleeping with Liam, at least in front of Naomi. The episode handled Jackie's death with Kelly finally forgiving her, so points for that, but Adrianna kept using drugs while everyone walked out on her. This episode might have led to Naomi and Adrianna's secrets being discovered, but that's nothing compared to what could happened when Naomi finds out it was Jen and not Annie that slept with Liam. Finally.
