The press aides have called the National Enquirer's reports linking the star to an Atlanta, Georgia dancer both "ridiculous" and "nonsense", but the woman at the center of the sex controversy insists she's not telling lies.
In a radio interview on Monday, Nicole Forrester told Q100's Bert Show she met Duhamel at the Tattletale club in Atlanta, where she works.
She said, "We did hook up and had lots of sex and we had a really, really good time."
And her lawyer, Romin Alavi, tells Us Weekly magazine that it was the actor's alleged boasts about his tryst with Forrester that led the Enquirer to the stripper.
Alavi explains, "Josh bragged about what happened on the set of his movie, and someone called the Enquirer with the tip. The Enquirer then came to Nicole."
Meanwhile, one source close to Duhamel and Fergie, who wed at the beginning of 2009, tells the Chicago Sun-Times newspaper the couple has had "a very intense and heated" talk about the claims Forrester has made.
The stripper claims to have text messages from Duhamel to prove her story. She also took a polygraph test to back up her claims.
Reports suggest she made more than $20,000 selling her story to the Enquirer.
She has revealed more details of her alleged tryst with Duhamel in the new issue of U.S. tabloid the Globe, claiming she and the "gorgeous but crazy" actor "made love for a long time" and he wore her out.
But Duhamel's rep remains steadfast, insisting the story is all lies: "This is not the first nor will it be the last time that a stripper was paid a large amount of money to sell a false story about a celebrity. This story is absolutely ridiculous."
