AC/DC are the wealthiest Australians in show business - the rockers have topped a poll of the country's richest entertainers.

The Back in Black hit-makers, who formed in Sydney in 1973, claimed the number one slot on the 2009 BRW Top 50 Entertainers list with their yearly income of $95 million.

Aussie singer Kylie Minogue retained her place at number two with $42 million yearly earnings, while children's musical group The Wiggles bumped New Zealand-born actor Russell Crowe into fourth place.

The top five is rounded out by country music star Keith Urban, whose actress wife Nicole Kidman ranked ninth in the poll.
