Kirstie Alley will star in an upcoming reality show on A&E that will follow her as she struggles to lose weight and raise her two teenagers, according to People.com. In May, Alley told People that she had gained 83 pounds.

The 10-episode show is scheduled to air in 2010. In 2005 she starred in the scripted Showtime series "Fat Actress."

This past summer, Kirstie got angry about a tabloid report that suggested she was so overweight she had just four years to live. The National Enquirer alleged 58-year-old Alley's cycle of binge eating and yo-yo dieting had "shaved years off her life span."
