Reality TV Round-Up: New 'Girls Next Door' Don't Live Up To The Originals & More
October 30th, 2009 3:12pm EDT Post a comment Add to My NewsThis week on "The Hills" (Tuesday MTV), Jayde and Brody kind of make up but you can tell she is still upset at him for ditching her to go to Kristin's party. They sit and talk about it and Jayde thinks Kristin wants Brody back, which is semi true since Kristin is known as a BF stealer. It will be interesting to see what happens but I think the prettiest couple in the world will be OK since I see them walking around Hollywood everyday hand in hand.
Kristin holds another party which Brody and Jayde both agree not to go to but both end up going behind each other's back. Weird.
Also weird, Justin told Kristin he would be at her party but in the middle of it he texted her he would not be coming. KC says she is over him but later Justin shows up. This guy is odd. JB admits to Brody he is playing head games and Brody takes KC's defense and tells him to knock it off because she is not into head games. JB then tells Brody he thinks Brody still has feelings for her.
Totally not true. There is no comparison between Jayde, a Playboy Bunny, and Kristin Cavallari, Laguna trash. Meanwhile KC is happy JB showed up but warns him do not ever play with her mind again.
Holly is back to her drinking ways and I love every moment of it. She clearly cannot handle her alcohol and might need some help but she just needs to grow up a little bit and she will be fine. I think her friends are overreacting but she needs to chill.
Next week we will find out more information about Brody and Jayde, Kristin, Justin, and Audrina's love triangle, and Holly's drinking problem.
New to the Reality Roundup are The Girls Next Door (Sunday E!), and this week Hef brought them back to the 70s. He showed them what life used to be like before the Internet and when Playboy was relevant. There used to be a Playboy Roller Disco, which was totally rad and, of course, the infamous Pajama Party.
The girls want to bring the roller disco back and took a roller skating class at the mansion. Needless to say, the new girls are not as cool as Bridget, Holly, and Kendra and this show might be on the way off the air.
One of my favorite shows (due to the douchebaggery) is Million Dollar Listing (Monday Bravo). Times are tough in the real estate business and although Josh, Chad, and Madison are seemingly unfazed, the truth is they are freaking out and it is all caught on camera.
To get away from the horrible real estate market in SoCal, Madison and Chad go to Scottsdale for a speaking engagement. Personally, I would never pay a dime to see these kids teach me real estate and I would only pay for Jeana Keough. The best part of the Scottsdale trip was watching Chad zip lock every single one of his personal belongings. I love people with OCD they make me LOL.
Chad finally sold his first house this week and there were a lot of gems when he gave his speech.
The Ruins (Wednesday MTV) got a little crazy this week but no one got kicked off for fighting. What happened was some backstabbing between teammates, which left Ibis on the way out, and Veronica still in contention.
This week got crazy; I have never seen anything like what happened and it left me and the rest of the cast members slightly shocked. A plan was set for the champs to get Veronica in the elimination round and for her to go up against KellyAnne, which is a near lock for Veronica to lose.
The Champs won the challenge so they got to play matchmaker and Wes immediately volunteered himself in the elimination round. He picked Cohutta to go against because there is some contention between them as Wes is dating Cohutta's ex, KellyAnne. The plan was to get Veronica in but the Champs fail to complete the plan.
Wes did not know about the plan and started sticking up for his GF, he did not want the Champs to pick her as Veronica's opponent. After over a half hour of deliberating the Champs cannot decide what to do. The rest of the teammates are brought in for a final vote and without discussing the previous plan a decision must be made.
Only half the team knew about the plan to get Veronica in the elimination so the plan failed and it ended up being Ibis vs. Kim, with Kim eventually winning. Surprisingly Cohutta defeated Wes and the Challengers sent two Champs home.
America's Next Top (Short) Model (Wednesday CW) is narrowing the competition and although it has been a weak season, my pick, Nicole, from the first episode is still around.
The girls went to Hawaii this week and try to learn how to surf. The girls do OK which helps in their challenge as they are asked to surf in tandem and get at least one good shot. I actually thought this was the hardest challenge of the year and Erin eventually won.
Although the girls think Erin is a brat she picked Nicole and Brittany for a tour of the island. The girls reluctantly go because they are sick of Erin but whatever, it was a very cool tour.
My girl Nicole won the challenge and the last two were Erin and Brittany. Brittany has lacked improvement since the beginning and Erin has been struggling. Both are labeled as too commercial and Brittany is sent home.
Reality Bites:
Real Housewives of OC starts next week.
The Real Housewives of ATL reunion episode was very emotional as Kandi talked about the loss of her former fiancé A.J.
Kim stated she wears wigs because she has a Thyroid condition, which causes her lo lack hair. Whatever, she is hot LOL.
Tabitha's "Salon Takeover" resumes Tuesday on Bravo at 9PM CST.
I missed this week's "Project Runway" because the GF is still not happy with this season. I promise I will make an attempt to watch next week.
Did you guys see "Rehab: Party at the Hard Rock?" I did and thought it did not deserve a recap.
Mike I. was told to pack his knives on Top Chef. He was a cocky jerk, later dude.
