Obsessed Miley Cyrus Fan Given Probation
Mark McLeod, 53, was taken into police custody twice in August after allegedly harassing the Disney star while she was shooting The Last Song in Georgia. He initially faced the more serious charge of attempted stalking, but that case was dismissed on Wednesday when a grand jury at Chatham County State Court ruled there was insufficient evidence to indict him.
McLeod returned to court on Friday, when he appeared before a State Court judge in Savannah to answer misdemeanor counts of disorderly conduct and obstruction. As part of the probation sentence, McLeod has been ordered to undergo a mental health evaluation.
He was released from jail and placed under the supervision of his sister following the court hearing, reports TMZ.com.
Cyrus, 16, was granted a temporary restraining order against McLeod in August.
