Chris Brown's First Live ShowChris Brown has sealed his comeback with his first live performance since he was convicted of beating his ex-girlfriend Rihanna.

The star pleaded guilty to assaulting the Umbrella hit-maker after a pre-Grammy Awards party in Los Angeles in February. He was ordered to stay away from the star and serve community service in his native Virginia.

Brown has been lying low for the last eight months, but recently announced he would be returning to the stage for a series of Fan Appreciation gigs across the U.S. He took his first step back into the spotlight on Tuesday with a promotional performance in East Rutherford, New Jersey for local radio station Power 105.1.

Brown donned a black and red Michael Jackson-inspired outfit for the show as he ran through his hits, and thanked the audience for standing by him. He told the crowd, "Despite my past and stuff like that, I appreciate all of y'all. How long we gonna do this for? We gonna do this forever!"

Brown's tour will kick off in Houston, Texas on November 14th and conclude with a pre-Christmas concert at New York's Nokia Theater on December 15th.

Proceeds from the concerts will benefit various charities, including Los Angeles' Jenesse Center, a domestic violence intervention organization.
