Pete Yorn Stunned By Scarlett Johansson's Singing Talent
Yorn confesses he dreamed up a collaboration with Johansson after listening to Serge Gainsbourg's 1960s recordings with Brigitte Bardot, and he admits he was more interested in his music partner's sexual allure than her singing abilities when he got in touch with her back in 2006.
He says, "It (her singing) wouldn't have mattered. It was more about her presence and attitude. But I got lucky that she has an amazing voice... she picked up everything really fast."
Johansson, who is married to actor Ryan Reynolds, made her music debut last year with an album of Tom Waits covers, entitled "Anywhere I Lay My Head".
Yorn and Johansson's new album, Break Up, has been critically acclaimed.
