Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe has bought himself a historical New York home.

The young Brit is the new owner of one of West 12th Street's most famous properties - built by a sea captain for his daughter in 1847.

Real estate website RealEstalker.com reports the actor paid $5.65 million for the renovated five-bedroom home.
