America's Next Top ModelThis week, America's Next Top Model brought the most important challenge - Go sees. The girls were paired in teams of two and given their own car to drive around Los Angeles, only no GPS was provided; the girls had to rely on their ability to read a map. This task was more difficult for some than others.

The girls were paired up as follows: Jennifer and Erin, Brittany and Kara, Nicole and Laura, and Sundai and Rae. The girls didn't see top fashion designers as per usual on ANTM, most likely because every designer would say, "She's too short to walk in my show." So, the girls visited two designers, a jewelry designer and an advertising agency to audition for a commercial.

As far as the jewelry was concerned, Kara didn't make the cut. She did not have pierced ears, which is a no-no in the fashion world. Sundai and Rae didn't really impress the designer either. He was not sure either could carry the jewelry well enough for a show.

When it came to the designers, most of them thought Brittany was wonderful, except when she placed her shoes on the table and offended them. Jennifer was told she wore a little too much make-up, but was otherwise pretty. Designer Trina Turk thought that Erin really looked like a model.

The girls had to read for a commercial at the advertising agency. They thought Brittany was too robotic, Kara had greasy hair and Laura was too limited by her accent.

Overall, it was Nicole who impressed everyone the most and she booked two out of her three go-sees, winning the challenge. This did not impress Sundai and Kara who then proceeded to bad-mouth her the rest of the episode. Sundai might have just been upset because she and Rae were disqualified for showing up late. Apparently, Rae drives like an 80-year-old woman.

Then it was time for the photo shoot. Top Model recycled some of their previous ideas to come up with a martial arts theme while suspended in air and holding a weapon.

Nicole, again, impressed everyone the most. Perhaps her confidence was boosted after winning the challenge, but she was definitely on top of her game tonight and looked like a very dynamic model, according to Jay Manuel. She was called first in panel.

Laura also had a very good shoot, just like last week. She picked a more difficult weapon, but made it work for her. Her poses with the numb chucks elongated her body and made her look rather elegant for being in an uncomfortable position in the air. I have a feeling next week Laura will be called first, she's been doing too well not to have that happen sometime soon.

Next was Brittany. The judges see something in Brittany that I don't get from watching her on TV. She looks a little too thin and has awkward shoulders, but apparently she's great and beautiful. The judges thought she worked the light well. Even though she was uncoordinated during the actual photo shoot, she ended up taking a strong photo.

According to Jay, Erin looked like a magical elf in the sky. And that little elf made her way into the top of the pack this week with a good photo. The judges' comments were amusing. They said she looked confused, but that the confusion worked well in making her relax her face and come up with a new, impressive look. Maybe that's why models get a bad rap as airheads.

Even though the judges raved over Jennifer's photo, she still was called fifth. They said they really loved her face and loved what she did with the sword and her body.

Rae came close to being in the bottom two this week. She's been slipping in the ranks. I don't necessarily think she's working hard at the modeling aspect, but just relying on her good looks. She is pretty, but she doesn't really project that well in the photos. The judges definitely need to see more out of her or Rae could be going home very soon.

All this left Kara and Sundai, the two trash talkers, in the bottom two. Sundai was told she needs to step out of her comfort zone and give another look. They are afraid she's not versatile enough to be a model. Jay even said during the shoot that she looked like a remedial model, which is not something good to hear this far into the competition. But, the victim this week was Kara. She really performed poorly and looked uncomfortable and confused. The judges said she lacked commitment. Tyra Banks felt like she gave up. Maybe she did, but she sure was a Debbie Downer during her confessional after she was eliminated. She said the whole thing was a waste of time; had she known she wasn't going to win, she wouldn't have come on the show at all. Most of the time girls leave with an attitude like, "I'm still going to make it, world!" Not so for Kara. Oh well. With that demeanor I say good riddance.
