Heroes star Hayden Panettiere lives in fear a fan of the hit show will confuse fiction and reality and try to kill her.

In the show, Panettiere plays a cheerleader with superpowers that make her indestructible, but the actress is keen to assure fans she's easily hurt in real life.

The 20 year old tells Us Weekly, "I'm just afraid somebody's going to stab me one day and think that my power is real and they expect me to start healing. I've been thinking about that since the first season."
