A Bigger 'Playhouse' Needed For Pee-Wee
Paul Reubens has pushed back the theatrical revival of his most famous character Pee-Wee Herman, because there's so much demand he needs to move it to a larger venue. The Pee-Wee Herman Show was initially set to start a 10-day run at the Music Box theater in Los Angeles next month.
Tickets sold out almost as soon as they went on sale in August, prompting producers to extend the run and switch the show from the 440-capacity Music Box to Club Nokia @ LA Live, which is five times the size.
A four week run at the new venue will kick off on January 12th, reports Daily Variety.
Reubens retired bicycle-loving man-child Herman in 1990 after 13 episodes of Pee-Wee's Playhouse.
