'Entourage' Finale Featured Life Altering Moments For Characters
Turtle and Eric both re-fell in love with their supposed soul mate and while Eric found himself getting engaged (rolling my eyes), Turtle ended up fooling himself and getting dumped by Jamie.
Eric, the crazy romantic, finally found love and reconnected with Sloan in a super sappy moment that seemed contrived. The two were fighting the entire season then suddenly fall madly in love with each other after fighting minutes before. It, life and/or love, doesn't work like that and that scene was the lamest part of my weekend.
As for Turtle, everyone's favorite loveable teddy bear, he fell in love with a girl that was way out of his league and the poor guy will never get the opportunity to roll over in bed and see that beautiful face ever again.
Too bad buddy, welcome back to reality.
In Sunday's episode Turtle fooled himself into believing that Jamie wanted him to go to New Zealand with her while she worked (I assume it was HBO produced). But Jamie did not want Turtle to come visit and he should have at least called before he boarded the plane to the South Pacific because Turtle got dumped on the runway.
His feeble attempt to abort the plane failed (I thought he was going to scream bomb, lol) and he flew 13 hours (I looked it up) to New Zealand only to hop another plane to Italy (20 hours). Vinny and Drama will be waiting and we will eventually catch up with Turtle next season hopefully stoned, playing video games and driving Vince around Rome.
I think the writers used the love story for Eric and Turtle because they ran out of ideas for the two most boring characters on the show. I am happy to see only one love story made it to next season and hopefully Turtle goes back to being Vince's trusty assistant.
While Eric and Turtle were finding ways to screw up their lives, everyone's favorite struggling middle-aged actor Johnny Drama finally received the best news of his acting career. After failing the Melrose Place 2.0 audition, Drama received an offer from a network (CBS?) for a starring role in an upcoming series. That's right people; Drama is going to be a star.
I am extremely happy for the Drama. Nobody has worked harder, has been more persistent, and wants to be a star more than him. Cheers Drama!
Ari was on fire all episode; firing paintballs while "trimming the fat" off Terrence's company, making high demands, and basically … just being Ari. But after all these seasons of watching Ari's explosions we finally see what has driven Ari's immense passion for what he does.
He has always wanted to be better than his back stabbing former boss and since Ari was fired from the company he ultimately ran, he wanted an apology from the man who fired him.
Due to his hard work and perseverance Ari finally achieved both. He bought out his nemesis/mentor Terrence's agency and also received what he has been craving for so long, an apology.
I understand Ari was firing paintballs while firing personnel (top 5 Entourage scene ever), but he finally seemed at peace after receiving the apology he yearned so dearly for.
While in a good mood Ari promptly promoted Lloyd to an agent and I knew they would be friends by the end of the season because the writers need those two together.
While all his friends and family are living chaotic lives, Vinny remains the constant laid-back dude he has been since season one.
Lately he has been focused on acting and women and after shooting the successful Gatsby, Vince has now moved his attention towards a biopic about Enzo Ferrari that will be shooting in Italy.
Vince will be joined by his brother/network TV star and Turtle in Italy. Drama, of course, has a guaranteed role on a network TV show, so he will be taking a vacation for the next couple months as the network develops something directed towards Johnny's strengths (sounds like Drama's voice mail).
Vince had a boring season and I expect his role to expand next season.
Eric getting engaged to Sloan and Drama becoming a star were both very shocking and I was extremely happy for Drama. I expected Ari to become an uber agent and I knew he and Lloyd would kiss and makeup. I am happy to see Vince working again and I am excited to see Turtle showing signs of coming back to normal.
Although I think the writers used the love stories for Eric and Turtle as a crutch to further develop their characters I was pleased to see only one love story will make it to season seven. I wonder what Eric's next career move will be and he better keep his best friend his top business priority.

When Drama said, "Sorry, he Jason Bourn'd me," that cracked me up. Damon was more Michael Bourne than Matt Damon and he made Vince very uncomfortable all episode long, very funny.
Ari's speech to his wife while in therapy was also one of the best scenes of the season and another example of how good Jeremy Piven is. He put on quite the performance throughout the season finale and the moment he influenced his wife's decision was (Ari) gold.
Going into next season it will be interesting to see which route the writers take. Will we see how the boys act away from each other or skip ahead a year or so when they are back together?
The finale featured a life altering moment for each character as if the writers were toying with us for saying this sixth season was dull. I am already excited to see what happens next to the boys and as all is well for most of them.
