Sex And The City star Chris Noth has confirmed he is set to walk down the aisle with his longtime girlfriend Tara Wilson - just weeks after denying plans to wed.

The actor was confronted by rumors he had proposed to Wilson, the mother of his 20-month-old son Orion, last month, and was quick to deny the reports, insisting they were "not true".

However, the 54 year old admitted he and Wilson are now engaged during an interview with Entertainment Tonight Canada on Sunday.

A post on the program's Twitter.com page reads, "Chris Noth just told us exclusively that he and girlfriend Tara Lynn Wilson are now officially engaged."
